The family owned Union Grill proudly features authentic BBQ. Our smoker was purchased from Nahunta, Georgia in 2005 and made the journey north to the Upper Peninsula to its new home outside the Union Grill where we smoke pork, beef brisket, ribs, chicken, corned beef, turkey and sausage over a maple wood fire year round (even in sub-zero temperatures and blizzards we keep the smoker hot).
Our menu is dedicated to using fresh ingredients and making our signature sauces, dressings, soups, desserts, potato salad, smokehouse beans, vinegar slaw, creamy slaw and mac-n-cheese from scratch. Our kitchen is always creating new barbeque sauces and daily specials in addition to our regular menu items.
The Union Grill features a “fast casual” dining experience. We are not fast food. We aim to deliver a quality meal, made with quality ingredients, with the timely convenience of counter service as an alternative to fast food. In- house we have a newly expanded patio for dining al fresco when the weather is warm. We carry a large selection of beer available by the bottle, heavily featuring Michigan beweries and our featured wines are available by the glass or bottle to enjoy with your meal.
Our large retail wine selection is specifically tailored to feature fine wines at very affordable prices. Our complete menu is available for take-out. Place an order to pick-up or during our peak hours delivery is also available. Our catering menu is designed to easily bring the tastes of the Union Grill to any event.
